The Milanese Home, a descreet charm
A journey through time that begins in the 15th century. Palazzo Brivio has taken on different styles according to the eras it has passed through. A quality that perfectly fits the changing nature of Milan, which is constantly evolving and changing like a mysterious urban chameleon.
From Renaissance to Neoclassical style, the building changed inexorably during World War II when on August 13,1943, an incendiary bomb hit the building, irreparably devastating the south wing on Via delle Cornacchie (today Via Cornaggia).
In 1972 the south wing was rebuilt by engineer Cetti Serbelloni, taking up the rationalist lines of Caccia Dominioni's taste. The building, now Casa Brivio, remains faithful to its last appearance, thanks to the design of architect Matteo Thun. The interiors also respect 20th-century Milanese design.
